After a half-century of dedication to Local 812 and Coca-Cola, Mario Alvarez recently retired. A Coke mechanic, Brother Alvarez served as a Trustee on the Local 812 board for 21 years. He served as a Shop Steward at the Bronx Coke Facility beginning in 1987. He plans to relax more in retirement, but wants everyone to know that he’s “Here for the Brotherhood” whenever needed.
